A Mumbai based organization; the Praja Foundation works towards facilitating transparency and accountability in governance. Supporting communication between three groups - Citizens, their Elected Representatives and the Bombay Municipal Corporation, the organisation is committed to instituting better authority accountability.
Since 1997, Praja has developed the Citizens Charter, an online complaint management system facilitating communication between citizens and the administration. Praja Dialogue is another web based platform catering to a 12 million strong population and their 269 elected representatives in Mumbai.
The Narotam Sekhsaria Foundation has been involved in the development of the Praja website's interactive capabilities. With this platform, information is collected from the wards and quarterly updates are made available to the public. The Foundation has also supported a variety of community awareness programs organized by Praja .
