Ambuja Cement Foundation
The Ambuja Cement Foundation (ACF) was founded in 1993 to engage rural communities in and around the Ambuja Cement's manufacturing units. Working with likeminded Foundations and the Government, ACF undertakes meaningful initiatives in water management, agriculture, income generation, health, education and women's empowerment, rural development and agro and skill based livelihood development.
ACF's initiatives now extend to 20 locations across 11 States in India.
To increase skills in the youth towards gainful employment, ACF has now established a Skill and entrepreneurship Development Institute (SEDI) with short term training courses for youth in and around Chirawa.
As a partner organization of Narotam Sekhsaria Foundation and Ambuja Cement Foundation (ACF) started working in about 25 villages around Chirawa in 2006-07. Scarcity of water being a major issue in this part of arid Rajasthan, The Foundation's focus is on development of water resources, which it has done largely by way of developing ponds, roof-rain water harvesting, and provision of other drinking water facilities. Not limiting itself only to the creation of resource, the foundation worked closely with the users, including farmers, on various methodologies for judicious usage of water. The availability and technology for effective usage of water prompted ACF to work on agro-based livelihood in the area. The foundation has simultaneously been running programs for betterment of health and improvement of the quality of education in its program area.

Professional Assistance for Development Action (PRADAN)
PRADAN was established in 1983 by a group of young Indian professionals. PRADAN's founders were motivated by the belief that mass poverty can be alleviated only when educated individuals effectively extend their empathy to the poor. The organisation strives towards developing alternative sustainable livelihood opportunities for the marginalized communities. With this objective Pradan works in 4138 villages across eight poorest districts in India.
The Narotam Sekhsaria Foundation supports a livelihood project for tribes in Rajasthan's Sirohi district. The project involves a wide range of activities, including rain water harvesting to enhance food security, levelling of land for better cultivation, induction of improved cropping practices and the provision of seeds, composting and irrigation structures.
